Delamar Traverse City is a luxury experience, providing a stunning view of Grand Traverse Bay and an elegant atmosphere that makes it difficult to leave the hotel. The staff went above and beyond with their exceptional service, and the indoor amenities were fantastic. However, the breakfast service change to grab-and-go was a letdown compared to previous visits, and I encountered some issues with the shower pressure in my room.

Rooms
8.0
Our king room was serene and beautifully decorated, providing a peaceful retreat. However, the shower had a unique overhead design that might not suit everyone's taste due to the low water pressure.
Service
10.0
From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcomed and attended to our needs beautifully. Levi at the front desk was particularly impressive.
Location
9.0
The hotel is perfectly situated right on the bay and a short walk from downtown, which made it easy to explore local attractions.
Dining
7.0
Though the breakfast no longer featured a buffet, the grab-and-go options were still above average with thoughtful selections like gluten-free muffins and fresh fruit.
Facilities
9.0
The indoor pool, hot tub, and sauna were excellent, providing great relaxation options regardless of the season.

6.2/10

I stayed for two nights and really wanted to enjoy my time, but the experience fell short. Despite the scenic views and potential the hotel has, I faced issues with noise and service that made my stay less enjoyable. The rooms showed promising renovations but lacked adequate soundproofing, and I found the dining options not up to par. A better management strategy could really enhance the overall experience.

Rooms
6.0
The rooms were nicely renovated, but soundproofing was a major issue as I could hear noise from events happening below.
Service
6.0
Service was friendly, but there seemed to be a shortage of staff, which affected the level of service I received.
Location
8.0
The location is quite good with easy access to local attractions, though it gets quite loud during events.
Dining
5.0
The dining options were limited and overpriced for the quality, especially breakfasts that were missing basic items like coffee.
Facilities
6.0
Facilities have potential with new renovations, but the lack of maintenance and management oversight was evident.

7.0/10

I recently stayed at the Delamar for a getaway, and while the ambiance and scenic views of the bay were beautiful, I found some aspects lacking. The updates to the property are nice, but some areas seem to require more attention. The staff interaction was hit or miss, and the rates felt a bit steep given the room conditions. Overall, the experience was decent, but it could have been better.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were elegantly updated but varied in quality; some views are fantastic while others fall short.
Service
6.0
The service felt inconsistent; some staff were welcoming, while others seemed uninterested in providing a good experience.
Location
9.0
The hotel is conveniently close to downtown, making it easy to explore local shops and dining options.
Dining
6.0
I found the breakfast selection somewhat limited, leaving me wanting more variety to start the day.
Facilities
7.0
The outdoor areas were appealing with fire pits and lovely landscaping, but overall maintenance could use some work.

6.8/10

My stay here had its ups and downs. The positives included an attractive pool area and some stunning views of the bay. However, the noise levels were quite disruptive, and the breakfast offerings left a lot to be desired, which was disappointing for a hotel at this price point.

Rooms
6.0
The room was decent but had issues with noise from the hallway and adjoining rooms. The bathroom was surprisingly small for a place that charges premium rates.
Service
7.0
While the staff seemed overwhelmed at times, I appreciated the general manager reaching out to apologize and rectify our experience after the fact, which was a nice touch.
Location
9.0
The hotel is conveniently located near the bay and downtown, making it easy to explore the area.
Dining
5.0
The breakfast was very mediocre and served in disposable containers, which felt below par for this type of hotel.
Facilities
8.0
The pool area was well-maintained and provided a great place to relax, although the noise issues detracted from the experience.

5.8/10

My stay at this hotel was a mixed bag. The location is a highlight, with easy access to downtown, but my room experience was quite disappointing. The pricing felt off considering the condition of the room and service. Overall, the hotel has potential, but several aspects need serious attention to improve the guest experience.

Rooms
5.0
The room was a blend of old and new, but ultimately felt shabby. Issues with the bathroom and noise from the club below made it hard to enjoy my stay.
Service
5.0
Service varied; while some staff were nice, the reception was lacking in providing helpful information about room conditions.
Location
8.0
The location is quite convenient, just a short walk to downtown Traverse City, which was a plus.
Dining
6.0
I didn't dine there much, but having a patio restaurant available added some convenience for meals.
Facilities
6.0
Facilities like the patio and restaurant are nice touches, though the pool seemed a bit hidden and not very accessible.
